Emma Reyes-Ramirez

I strongly believe in a collaborative relationship between a patient and their provider. My goal is to provide education about health, mental health and substance use, as well as increase access to support and resources that help set up our patients for success and attain healthier outcomes in pregnancy.

Prior to working in Early Start, I worked in the Kaiser San Jose Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry. I have 18 years of experience working with various populations within the mental health field; many with dual diagnosis issues. Through my experiences, I developed a clinical interest in working with women’s health, particularly those with peripartum issues.

My areas of clinical interest include: Women’s Health Issues, Trauma, Dual Diagnosis, Crisis Intervention, Case Management/Resourcing.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2010.

I am a native of San Jose, I enjoy the outdoors with my family—hiking, camping or spending the day at the beach.
