“To the world you are a mother, but to your baby you are the world”

It’s an honor to be an Early Start Specialist in the OB/GYN Department.

My role is to support patients in having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Whether it be simply listening to your experience, exploring your concerns, or providing education or resources, I believe in working together, to overcome the challenges one may be facing during pregnancy and to celebrate what’s going well. It’s an honor to walk this journey with you!

Personally, I was born in San Francisco and have lived in Sonoma County my entire life. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter – who keeps me very active and learning something new every day! I had my daughter at Kaiser Santa Rosa, so it’s a gift to bring some personal experience when working with mothers during their pregnancy.

I started my career as a therapist for Kaiser in the Department of Mental Health and Wellness in 2014 and rejoined Kaiser in April 2020. In addition, I’ve worked extensively around grief and loss, through various Hospice organizations. Grief and loss continue to be an area of specialty and interest, as I believe we experience this through life’s transitions, even some of the most joyful ones!

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology: Sonoma State University
  • Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology: University of San Francisco.
