Mary Kavanaugh

I have a great commitment to providing the highest standard of collaborative care to individuals, families, and communities; and to contribute positive mental health services that improve their quality of life.

I have over 12 years of experience working with foster youth and high-risk communities ranging from severely emotionally disturbed children with dual diagnosis, overcoming severe challenges like grief/loss, domestic violence, substance abuse, physical/sexual/emotional abuse, neglect, and family crisis.

It is truly an honor and privilege for me to offer my services to our pregnant family members, support systems, and their unborn babies to support successful and healthy outcomes in pregnancy.

My areas of clinical interest include: collaborative services, culturally relevant care, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, educational supports throughout pregnancy, simply being a safe place for patients to explore current stressors in their lives.

I joined Kaiser Behavioral Health Center doing crisis stabilization and transferred to the Early Start team in 2017.

I am from Northern California and have lived in the Bay Area for over 10 years. I love the Bay Area, and in my free time I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and being outdoors. During my time off you can find me at the beach or training for a Triathlon.
