As an Early Start Specialist, I have the immense privilege to support expecting mothers during and after their pregnancy. My goal is to be a warm, supportive, and resourceful provider to you and your baby. I hope to provide a safe space for you to learn the tools that will help empower you to have a healthy pregnancy and beyond!

Some of my clinical interests include interprofessional health care approaches, culturally sensitive care, mindfulness, and self-compassion.

I enjoy working with populations such as peri/postpartum women, young adults, working with the Asian American population, and providing bilingual treatment options to support the Vietnamese-speaking community. As an Asian American therapist, I advocate to debunk the Model Minority Myth and to decrease mental health stigma for the communities affected.

I am a Bay Area native, born and raised in San Jose, CA. I love that the Bay Area offers beautiful weather, culturally enriching foods and events, city life, and natural scenery just a couple of hours away. In my free time, I enjoy live music, mindfulness walks, yoga, beach views, and spending time with my dogs.

I graduated from The University of California Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

I completed my graduate school internship at Michigan Medicine Hospital and their Department of Psychiatry. At Michigan Medicine, I was comprehensively trained in evidenced-based treatments in addition to integrated health care approaches as a medical social work trainee.

Upon my MSW graduation, I moved back to the Bay Area to continue my passion of providing mental health services to diverse communities.

I completed Kaiser’s Post-Masters Fellowship Program in Santa Clara Psychiatry. During my year as a fellow, I devoted myself as a psychotherapist, a group leader, and case manager in the Intensive Outpatient Program and the outpatient clinic.

I joined the Early Start Program in the Fall of 2019.
