I am fortunate to be able to say that I have worked at Kaiser for 25 years. Providing patient care in psychiatry, health education, and now women’s health. I feel privileged that others trust me with their stories. I feel honored to “walk” alongside them.
I was born when my father was in medical school so you could say I was born into healthcare. My five siblings are practicing physicians. Mental health chose me. I have always been passionate about ending the stigma of mental health and devote my life to it.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gonzaga University. My Master of Social Work from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. My California license as a clinical social worker.
My advanced training is in weight management, bariatrics, sleep hygiene, mind-body health, eating disorders, trauma counseling, family systems, conflict resolution, public speaking, managed care, employee assistance program, case management, and quality assurance.
Personal goals achieved: Running two marathons (26.2 miles) in Rome, Italy and Athens, Greece. The birth of my two sons. Raising my sons as a single parent. Sending my first child to college.
I enjoy outdoor activities, sports, rescuing animals, travel, cooking, reading, babysitting great nieces, and art projects.
