"Compassion is not religious business, it is human business, it is not luxury, it is essential for our own peace and mental stability, it is essential for human survival."
—Dalai Lama

My areas of clinical interest are: women’s health, prenatal and infant/child development, parenting and attachment, substance use issues and chronic mental health issues.

I believe in using a collaborative approach with my clients, partnering with you to help you set and achieve your goals for mental wellness. I have a wide range of experience in treating mental health issues, particularly chronic mental illness, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, general co-dependency and interpersonal relationship concerns.

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2008 at San Jose Kaiser Adult Psychiatry before transferring to Santa Clara Early Start in 2017. I recently joined the excellent team at Milpitas Women’s Clinic working as an Early Start and Behavioral Medicine Specialist.

Prior to joining Kaiser, I worked in many different settings including community organizations, VA, Santa Clara County as well as psychiatry (inpatient and outpatient).

Born and raised in Vietnam until the age of 10. After many years of living in the Bay Area, I now consider the Bay Area my home and appreciate the many things it has to offer. Married 20 years with two children (son and daughter).

In my free time I enjoy taking mindfulness walk, yoga, cooking, traveling, and enjoy relaxing/spending my free time with my children, family and few dear friends.

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who has worked in mental health since 2003.
